Event type

Speaker Meeting

Members free, non-members £3.

The Thames Valley Police Museum in Sulhampstead is a local gem. We will not be supplying transport; nearer the time we will be asking if members intending to drive who have spare space for a member without their own transport could let us know so we can ensure no-one is left out. A convoy can be organised for those unsure of the way. Our guide will be museum volunteer and Club member – the irrepressible Dave Stubbs.

About the speaker: Dave Stubbs

Dave Stubbs is a retired Thames Valley Police; prior to his retirement he was advising individuals and communities on security issues. He has also served in the honorary post of Newbury's Town Marshal. He has long has an interest in the history of Wash Common and has developed an in depth knowledge of the 1st Battle of Newbury that took place there and has led many guided walks over the battlefield.
