West Berkshire Council’s Archaeology team is responsible for advising on the District?s historic environment. West Berkshire’s Historic Environment Record (HER) is the primary evidence base for the team’s decision-making. The HER is a database of known buildings, monuments, sites, places, areas or landscapes of archaeological, architectural, artistic or historic interest, and many of its records are freely available for public use.
