A talk looking at a range of crimes from the second half of the 19th Century: from baby farming to bankruptcy; manslaughter to a suspicious accidental death. The punishment reflect the values of the rimes. Are things better now?


Ros Clow is well known in Newbury for her work leading the History Group of the Friends of Newtown Road Cemetery. Out of this has come many tales of Newbury's past - several of which Ros had turned into plays, the next of which is in rehearsal!
