Wasing is one of West Berkshire's smallest parishes, tucked away from the buzz of traffic it is a tranquil spot. Wasing House was for many years the home of the Mount family whose influence was far more notable than the parish in which they lived. Even today that influence is profound - Prime Minister David Cameron's mother was born Mary Mount.

John Trigg has lived for the last 39 years in the Berkshire village of Woolhampton and during the past 17 years has attempted, through self-publishing, to place a knowledge of the history of Woolhampton and other areas of West Berkshire in the public domain. To date this has resulted in ten books - hopefully there will be many more in the years to come.
