Today East Ilsley is a quiet village nestled below the busy A34; most travellers rush by without noticing it. However, in the past, it was renowned for its sheep fairs and markets. In this talk Sue will take us back to those days, when the village was an important trading centre.

Sue Burnay is a founder member and leading light of the East Ilsley Local History Society. Her history publications include Time Gentleman Please a history of the village's pubs and Historical Walks in East Ilsley and More Historical Walks in East Ilsley.
