Ros Clow

14 November 2014

2:30pm at Newbury Town Hall

A cemetery may not be the first place one would expect to find cultural inspiration, but cemeteries are packed with art in the form of sculptured monuments, stained glass in chapel windows and verse on stones. And the ambience has inspired works in all art forms. Come along for a cultural view of the Newtwon Road Cemetery.

Ros Clow leads the History Group of the Friends of Newtown Road Cemetery investigating the lives of the thousands of 'residents'. She has led many tours of this oasis of calm in the bustle of Newbury and has written two plays based on incidents associated with the cemetery.
